Tivoli, Copenhagen, Denmark

So I had to miss my practicum today because I was still feeling really sick this morning and a) I didn’t want to risk getting any of the kids sick and b) I just didn’t think I was physically capable of having that amount of energy needed for 8 hours with kids.
But I needed some fresh air after sleeping in. Today was such a beautiful day and there was nice weather (low 40s!!!), so I took a walk to see the lake. It’s about a 20 minute walk away and I was exhausted by the time I got back, but the ice is melting and it was so worth it being able to see the water.

We visited this public school today, designed by the famous Danish architect Arne Jacobsen. It was a great visit—even if we did have to get there at 7:40—because we were only four and we could spend a lot more time interacting with the students (we saw three classrooms).
So this isn’t the normal ride I take into Copenhagen, but I think it gives a good feel for:

I’m an idiot and didn’t get any real work done and then I started looking at my photos and now I need to sleep off my hunger because this photo isn’t helping me

I was here today!
…Sadly, my phone died before the team got out of the bus. And we left before they went inside because we had been out there standing for over an hour and it was freezing.
